	Here is a series of photos taken while I was taking part in the Labour Day 1965 walk across the Mackinac Bridge. This photo is at the starting area in St. Ignace. After walking south across the bridge, there were busses to bring everyone back to the starting point. They still hold the walks every year...click here for more info. September 6, 1965.
	It is about 5 miles across the "Mighty Mac" and while it was a cloudy day, it still was a pleasant day. September 6, 1965.
	It is an uphill climb here, and I am getting close to the north tower. September 6, 1965.

	A few years later I finally got a photo of the bridge on a sunny day! July 1979.
	This is a series of photos taken on a nice summer day at the Soo Locks - there was quite a bit of boat traffic that day. Here are two empty ore carriers, the D.G. Kerr (foreground) and the J.N. McWatters, both headed west. August of 1970.
	Here the two ships are entering the locks. August of 1970.
	Now both ships will be raised a few feet to match the level of Lake Superior. August of 1970.
	The ships have been raised and the west end doors of the locks have been opened, and the ships get underway again. I was lucky that both ships were going through at the same time. August of 1970.
